Applications for enrollment this September are now closed. Information about the application and admission’s requirements for the academic year 2018/2019 will be published here in autumn 2017.

e-Application form (select “Field of Study” -> “C-ME-IDS”) + enclosures

The enrollment into the program is only once a year, with a start in September.

If you meet admission requirements, fill in the e-Application form to study IDS and provide us with mandatory enclosures by end of April.

Should you fail to provide a required enclosure, the application is automatically regarded as incomplete. This includes a failure not paying the e-Application fee.

Enclosures to the e-Application to be emailed and sent by post:

A) Verified photocopy of an English certificate (or if English was your major, it should be clear from the transcripts with your Diploma)

B) Europass CV in English with a photo and a signature (

C) Copy of the passport

D) Current Transcript of Records

E) Letter of Reference: Academic/professional reference consisting of the name of the referee, her/his current position, precision of the period in which she/he knew the applicant, confirmation of study motivation and working experience (if any); other qualification and abilities relevant to the application for the International and Diplomatic Studies program, other commentary.

F) Proof of payment (receipt) of the 50,- EUR application fee (paid based on instructions received upon filling in an online e-Application)

G) Elective Track Selection – Minor specialization selection at the time of submitting your application. “General” or “Green” Track (General – Analysis of International Relations; Green – Environmental Policy in International Relations).

Application deadline – 30 April, 2017

The Application deadline for the academic year 2017/2018 is 30 April, 2017. By this time, the e-Application form needs to be filled in, application fee paid, and all required enclosures sent electronically (eva.grebe(at) and by post (address shown bellow).

It is acceptable that the physical package with the required enclosures reaches the IDS office by post after this deadline, provided it is postmarked 30 April 2017.

Past due applications and applications without all required enclosures will be automatically disregarded.

Admission exam (long-distance exam) – 5 May, 2017


Applicants who have not/will not have a Czech/Slovak bachelor’s degree (diploma) should note that, apart from the application process, they are required to have their education from abroad recognized/nostrified in the Czech Republic. This is a separate process with further rules and required documents, and can be done after taking the long-distance admission exam. Please read the respective instructions in Admission Requirements.
