How to Apply
If you meet admission requirements, fill in the e-Application form to study IDS and provide us with all mandatory enclosures by end of April. The enrolment into the program is only once a year, with a start in September.

Copy of the passport
Letter of Motivation
Essay on a chosen topic (from a given list of topics, see below)
Application fee (paid based on instructions received upon filling in an online e-Application)
The essay of min. 1200 words should be written in English and solely by the applicant without any assistance. Not achievement of the number of words could cause a loss of points in the final evaluation. The applicant must strictly avoid any form of plagiarism including translations. If an essay or any part of it is copied or translated, the author of it will be excluded from the admission procedure. The text of the essay should be sent via an email in MS Word format by 30 April 2019.

- What is the role of international organizations in securing peace?
- What are the positives and negatives of economic globalization?
The assigned username and password must be carefully stored – it is used for communication with the faculty until the time of enrolment.
Should you fail to provide a required enclosure, the application is automatically regarded as incomplete. This includes a failure not paying the e-Application fee.
The Application deadline for the academic year 2019/2020 is 30 April 2019. By this time, the e-Application form needs to be filled in, application fee paid, and all required enclosures sent electronically (firstname.lastname@example.org) and by post (address shown bellow).
It is acceptable that the physical package with the required enclosures reaches the IDS office by post after this deadline, provided it is postmarked 30 April 2019.
Past due applications and applications without all required enclosures will be automatically disregarded.
