Notice for Applicants: The IDS program does not have any contracts or partnerships with agencies that claim to assist applicants with the admission process. We provide all necessary information directly to applicants and students.
The 3-year bachelor’s degree program combines international relations with a solid foundation in economics, law, and quantitative methods, including calculus. The program highlights the interconnectedness of political, economic, security, and cultural issues, preparing students to understand global affairs from multiple perspectives. Graduates also acquire strong language skills essential for an international career.
If you are interested in starting your studies in September 2026, please submit the e-Application by selecting “Faculty of International Relations – Bachelor type of study – B-ID International and Diplomatic Studies.”
When filling out the online application, please select the study period “WS 2026/2027”.

The Dean may announce a second admission round if the anticipated number of admitted students is not reached in the first round. Should this happen, the application deadline will be April 30th, 2026, and the exam will be held in May 2026. Applicants who took the first-round admission exam cannot apply for the same program in the second round.
Interview & Assessment Criteria
The admission exam consists of an in-depth personal interview conducted either online or in person.
Motivation to study our program → max. 50 points (min. 25 points).
English language skills → max. 50 points (min. 25 points).
Only applicants who obtain at least 50% of the points from each part and reach the minimum total point score set by the Dean will be admitted. Admission will be determined by the order of candidates according to their total points.
The interview determines the applicants’ motivation to study the programme, their level of English language skills and general overview of current issues in international relations.
The admission process is managed through the university’s information system (InSIS). All official communication and documents will be delivered electronically via InSIS.
What to upload with your e-Application
e-Application (“B-ID International and Diplomatic Studies”)
Passport (copy)
Certificate of graduation from previous level of study – if already available, or a confirmation of your current studies.

For studies completed outside of the Czech Republic or Slovakia, additional steps for recognition of previous education will be required.

Pay the application fee (50 EUR) based on instructions received upon filling in the e-Application.
