đź”” Important notice for non-EU visa applicants

If you require a long-term visa to study in the Czech Republic, please read the following carefully:

  • The Fall semester typically begins in mid-September.

  • The Spring semester typically begins in early February.

  • In-person attendance is mandatory from the start of the semester, as all courses are taught on campus.

In case of visa-related difficulties, a delay of up to two weeks after the start of classes may be tolerated. Beyond this period, students are not allowed to join the program, even if the visa is granted later. This is due to the intensive academic structure of the program, where regular attendance is required.

What are your options if your visa is delayed?

If it becomes clear that your visa will not be issued in time, you can:

  • Defer your studies to the next available semester (usually January/February for Spring intake), or

  • Reapply in the next admission cycle for the following Fall semester.

⚠️ Deferral is not automatic and must be officially requested. Please contact your program coordinator for guidance.

What visa-related documents does the university provide?

The university can issue:

  • Confirmation of acceptance

  • Confirmation of accommodation (if applicable)

Both documents are issued in Czech and English and are accepted by Czech embassies for visa purposes.
No additional or customized documents can be issued.

Important reminder:

Even once your visa is approved, collecting the visa sticker from the Czech embassy may take several extra days. Please plan your travel accordingly and act without delay once your visa is granted.

🧳 We recommend that you do not book your travel until your visa is physically issued, but be ready to act quickly once it is.
